Rumors about Miley Cyrus having work done have been spreading for years. And now, with the release of her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation on March 10, fans are speculating that the “Muddy Feet” singer could’ve received blepharoplasty judging by some older pictures of the 30-year-old.

What Is Blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty is a plastic surgery that removes excess skin from the eyelids. People with hooded eyes usually use this type of surgery to open up their eyes and make them appear bigger. While many people undergo eyelid surgery for cosmetic reasons, some have it for functional purposes as well. For example, blepharoplasty is performed to remove skin that has impaired vision.
Celebrities like Cameron Diaz and Catherine Zeta-Jones have been rumored to have blepharoplasty. It’s the new buccal fat removal! However, if you also have hooded eyelids, there are makeup tricks you can use to play up your eye shape.

Did Miley Cyrus Have Blepharoplasty?
While we’re not certain if Miley had blepharoplasty, the before and after pictures of the “We Can’t Stop” singer definitely don’t lie! Fans pointed out that while makeup can do a lot with expert contouring, highlight, and just plain lighting; only so much can be attributed to getting rid of something as “unchangeable” as hooded eyelids—so it looks like blepharoplasty takes care of the rest! One person pointed out, “How’d she go from hooded eyelids, to not?” while another commenter compared her to the everchanging, almost unrecognizable Madonna, “I see Madonna.”

Other Changes To Miley’s Appearance
Fans also pointed out that she looks like she got chin implants. This surgery is used to enhance the size of your chin, usually with a flexible silicone implant, to add definition and balance to your chin and jawline. One person commented on an Instagram post, “What’s going on with her chin area? It’s like the tip of her chin receded upwards.” People also pointed out that she could’ve gotten gum contouring which is used to reshape or resculpt your gumline. This procedure cuts away excess gum tissue around the teeth.
At the end of the day, it may not be fair to compare photos of celebrities when they were first in the stoplight at a young age with a photo of them now. Our faces can change so much for so many different reasons. “I think is unfair to compare a photo when she was 14/15 with a photo of [when she was] 27/28? My face has also changed so much with the years, even my nose is so much thinner, and I have never had surgery,” another person wrote in the comments. Either way, Miley looks great and she even debuted a new two-toned hairstyle during a public outing with her boyfriend Maxx Morando, 24, at the Versace Fall-Winter 2023 runway show on Thursday, March 9.
