No one can ever accuse Miley Cyrus of not saying what she means – but even we were taken aback when she opened up about her disastrous (to use her words!) marriage to Liam Hemsworth. We weren’t expecting her to be *that* honest!
The 29-year-old “Angels Like You” singer made the shock confession while she was performing at Lollapalooza Brazil on Saturday, March 26th, when she brought a gay couple on stage with her to help them with a marriage proposal. “Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine,” she wished the freshly-engaged happy couple. “Mine was a [expletive] disaster,” she added. Wow!
The "Heart of Glass" singer – who is now in a seemingly very happy new relationship with 23-year-old drummer Maxx Morando – met the now 32-year-old The Hunger Games actor on the set of their movie, The Last Song, back in 2009. They got engaged in 2012 (with a few reported breaks in-between 2010 and 2012, but no one knows the exact details for sure as it was so complicated!) but broke up the following year. In true Hollywood on/off dating style, they then got back together in 2015 and tied the knot in December 2018, only to end things for good less than a year later. It was a rollercoaster romance to say the least!
This isn’t the first time the "Edge of Midnight" singer has opened up about the intimate details of her relationship with Hemsworth. Emphasis on intimate, as she previously confessed to losing her virginity to him when she was 16 years old! Miley dropped the bombshell on an episode of Barstool Sports in 2020, saying: "I didn’t go all the way with a dude until I was 16, but I ended up marrying the guy."
