Miley Cyrus Poses For Stunning 'W Magazine' Photoshoot As Buccal Fat Rumors Reemerge On Social Media

Last week, the publication uploaded both color and black-and-white pics of the "Jaded" singer to Instagram (above and below) and revealed that they are included in W Magazine's 'Volume Three: The Pop Issue.' Cyrus shared the post with her own 216 million followers. Fans headed to the comments section to share their thoughts.

"It’s giving Hannah and Miley hybrid," one fan noted, referencing her iconic Hannah Montana role as another believed she resembled her mother, Trish Cyrus: "everyone’s saying Hannah vibes but all I see is Trish." One other added: "Thought this was Joni Mitchell at first glance."

"Cool pics, but did she get that buccal fat removal? Her face looks a bit different," one fan wrote as another replied: "most likely yes, she’s been thinner than this before and always kept her round face. Now its sunken in :( too bad." Someone else added: "She really looks different, I wouldn't even have recognized her." One other claimed that the alleged surgery made Cyrus look "20 years older."

This isn't the first time that the Cyrus has sparked buccal fat removal rumors. Back in February at the 2024 Grammys, Cyrus stole the show in a dazzling custom gold John Galliano for Maison Margiela couture dress. The intricate design featured metal safety pins and beaded interwoven strands that drew the eyes of many onlookers. Throughout the evening, Cyrus had a whopping five costume changes, a testament to her showmanship and style.

The night proved to be a career milestone as she received her first two Grammy awards. Despite her captivating makeup and outfits, some Instagram users speculated that Cyrus may had undergone a "buccal fat removal"  procedure as they found her to appear "different" or "off" at the awards ceremony.

Soon after Cyrus' big awards night, Just Jared shared a photo roundup post on Instagram highlighting the "Malibu" artist's ensembles. Fans went to the upload's comments section, with many claiming that Cyrus underwent plastic surgery procedures recently.

She is going to lose her beautiful face with the big new veneers and the skinny cheeks," one wrote as another added: "Is that a buccal fat removal?" Someone else chimed in, commenting: "Her face and teeth god" as one other replied: "She is gorgeous, but the look ages her so bad." One user concurred: "Why are all these young Celebs looking so old?"

Cyrus has yet to respond to these fresh buccal fat removal, veneers and other cosmetic surgery procedure rumors. However, in 2012, the Last Song star dispelled the circulating rumors regarding her usage of lip fillers at the time.

On X (formerly Twitter), she wrote: "Definitely don’t get my lips injected. It’s so sad that people have done so much s–t to their face people don’t believe in natural beauty."

One year before, she also shot down breast augmentation rumors on social media. "Thank you for the compliment but these babies are all mine," she tweeted in 2011, adding: "I wish they’d realize you don’t have to be fake to be beautiful."

In April 2022, Cyrus opened up about her flawless complexion and stunning skin in an interview with ELLE. The Hannah Montana alum discussed her skincare and self-care routines. "I basically have it down to a science these days," she said, while talking about the correlation between skincare and mental health.

"Taking care of yourself from the inside out is so important," she added. "Your beauty routine is a form of self-love because it means you’re taking time out of your day to check in with yourself, mentally and physically."
