Miley Cyrus, 31, is making headlines for a number of different reasons this year – her super-toned arms, her brand new music, and the fact that she won her first Grammy and BRIT awards, among other things. But we bet she wasn’t banking on her mom and sister’s love lives grabbing the headlines too!
If you’ll recall, recent reports have hinted that mom Tish Cyrus, 56, who married 54-year-old Prison Break actor Dominic Purcell in Miley’s back yard in October 2023, “stole” her husband from 24-year-old daughter Noah Cyrus, who funnily enough wasn’t at their wedding. For what it’s worth, Miley was Maid of Honor at the wedding; her brother Braison Cyrus was also absent, but sister Brandi Cyrus and brother Trace Cyrus were in attendance.
Did Tish Cyrus Really Steal Her Husband From Daughter Noah Cyrus?
Tish and Dominic tied the knot over one year after Miley's father Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce in April 2022 after over 28 years of marriage. And Noah Cyrus was apparently "distraught" about it.
"Noah was [seeing] Dominic when Tish started dating him," an insider told Us Weekly, adding that her mom "was aware" of the situation and that "the turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond [what people think]." They added: "Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her."
And if we are to believe People magazine's insider, who also spilled a lot of details about the situation, the "Flowers" singer had *no* idea that any of this was going on, which is why we think she hosted their wedding at her home.
"Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all," the insider reportedly told People. "She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it's a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy," the insider continued, before going on to outline their take on Noah and Dominic's relationship.
According to the insider, they "were seeing each other in a friends with benefits way, off and on." The source added: "They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something. Tish never gave Noah the chance to talk about all of this before they got married."
Internet Reactions
Naturally the internet had a *lot* of thoughts about these allegations. Commenting on a February 28th Instagram post from US Weekly, which outlines the alleged drama, one user said: "Whaaaatttt???? He is like 54!" "What in the Jerry Springer did I just read?" quipped another user, which many others replied to with a series of crying laughing emojis. Another replied, "Jerry Jerry Jerry."
"This family needs a lot of therapy," commented another user, to which one replied, "The therapist would need therapy." "Trash and Dominic seem better suited. Noah will find someone wonderful and worthy of her," criticized another fan, as someone else added: "What in the Alabama is going on here?!" "What in the Hillbilly badonkadonk," added another.
"Well, that would make Thanksgiving uncomfortable," stated another fan, as another thought, "Yeah this marriage will last as long as a ham in the freezer," followed by a crying laughing emoji. "This comment section did not disappoint," wrote another fan, followed by the hand praising and crying laughing emojis.
