Miranda Lambert recently released a music video for her new single “Settling Down,” and the country star showed off her relationship with husband Brendan McLoughlin throughout the video.
Although this might not seem like a big deal, it definitely raised some eyebrows considering Blake Shelton (Lambert’s ex) just recently announced his engagement to Gwen Stefani.
The video is PDA-filled, and shows the couple holding hands and cuddling.
In an interview with the podcast Kelly Ford in the Morning, the 36-year-old talked about her husband's role in the video: "I've never had a video in 18 years in the business with a love interest so it's kind of funny that my husband is my first one."
She continued, speaking about choosing Brendan for the role,"I'm like you're cute, you're here and you're free."
And the video definitely paid off as a personal tribute to their life together: "It was fun, he did such a great job. And my little dog's in it and my ponies and it's at my magical happy place an hour from Nashville."
The country singer, who married Brendan in February 2019, seems to be enjoying married life with her new hubby.
However, a source told People at the time that Blake was not phased by his ex-wife moving on.
The insider explained, "He put Miranda in his rear view mirror long ago. Miranda brings nothing positive to his life."
"Their marriage ended and he moved on. Ever since, he is grateful every day," the source continued.
