Celebrity weight loss transformations are quite common in 2024 thanks to weight loss injections such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, to name just two. (And we’re talking about the celebrities who have admitted to taking them, and those who are still denying it!)

Miranda Lambert, 40, however, underwent an epic weight loss transformation well before 2024, and was reported to have lost a super-impressive 20 lbs. when she flaunted her slim “new body” on the front cover of Marie Claire‘s January 2015 issue. And judging by what she said at the time, it seems like she did it through a healthy diet and exercise. Given how weight loss injections weren’t really a thing back then, we’re inclined to believe her!

What Did Miranda Lambert Say About Her Weight Loss Transformation?

According to Miranda herself, she switched up her diet and incorporated exercise such as Pilates and running into her weekly routine just before she reached the age of 30. And the results spoke for themselves!

The "Mama's Broken Heart" singer's weight loss transformation didn't go unnoticed at the time, and she opened up to fans about some of the things she did to slim down so they wouldn't accuse her of taking drastic measures such as going under the knife.

"Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight. I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. That is ridiculous," the "Hell on Heels" singer wrote in an open letter to fans on her official website at the time.

"I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield," she continued, adding: "Like I have always said, it's not about a scale, it's about how you feel and how your jeans fit. And on November 10th when I turned 30, my skinny jeans were finally baggy! Mission accomplished! So for anyone who is tempted to read the 'Trash Talk' please don't." She finished off by saying: "I am proud to be a normal size girl and I want to encourage everyone to be confident at any size."

Miranda Lambert Said She 'Hates' The Focus On Women's Bodies

The Grammy-winner has spoken openly about her weight on several occasions throughout her career – and we love how candid she is! She told Marie Claire in its January 2015 issue, for which she appeared on the cover wearing a stunning blue dress, that she didn't like the huge attention her recent weight loss had gotten, adding that she has insecurities about her figure just like everyone else.

"I'm just like anybody else, insecure and scared of looking bad or being criticized," the "Somethin' Bad" hitmaker confessed. "But everybody's making this big, giant thing about [my weight loss.] It's way too much focus on women's bikini photos, and I hate it. Why do we care? I want women to love themselves whatever they've got going on."

Fast forward to 2024, and Miranda has confessed that she isn't as focused on maintaining her slimmer frame as she once was, and is instead looking to live her life in a healthy and happy way. And that's exactly how she looked while performing at the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, California back in April.

Just a few weeks before the performance, a source told Life & Style: "Back in the day, she used to struggle to be super thin like some of the other singers. She was always on one diet or another. But at this point in her career, she feels she's earned the right to be herself. She wants to enjoy her life to the fullest." And we think she looks fabulous in this present day!
