Naomi Campbell was without a doubt one of the biggest supermodels of the 90s. Fast forward to 2024, and she still has a super-enviable figure – one which we’re desperate to find out how she maintains!
There’s no denying that the 54-year-old mom-of-two looks incredible; and while some of it is undoubtedly down to her good genes, another part of it is through a very strict and well-thought-out diet. Take a look at some of the things the iconic supermodel and her personal chef have said about her diet below…
What Does Naomi Campbell Typically Eat?
The Making the Cut judge opened up to The Sun about what a typical day of eating looks like for her back in April 2020. She told the pub at the time: "I eat my lunch. Lunch is my dinner, because I really only eat once a day."
And according to Life & Style, Naomi has also done some pretty interesting diets over the years, with one of them involving downing water or juice in place of food.
Although she does have a personal chef (more on this below) Naomi revealed in a YouTube video from July 2019 that she enjoys doing her own food shopping.
"I need to do my own groceries, I can't order them online. I don't like them," she explained at the time, adding: "I find grocery shopping therapeutic." During her trip to Whole Foods, she stocked up on pears, lemons, grapes and peaches, as well as fresh basil, fruit-flavored yogurts and raisins.
Naomi Campbell's Personal Chef Reveals More
Naomi's personal chef Sean John said there are quite a lot of things the model, who he said is "basically a vegetarian/pescatarian," doesn't eat – and these things include chicken, gluten, and dairy products.
"I have cooked for her for over 10 years. She has her own stuff at home, but I prepare one really good meal a day and it's super clean and really healthy," John previously told Page Six. And his cooking duties also extend to her air travel, as he added: "When she travels private, I prepare those meals too. She doesn't eat plane food."
John went on to say: "She's an Ital, which is a Jamaican word for clean vegetarian style, like Bob Marley rasta talk." He also confirmed that all of the foods Naomi eats absolutely *must* be full of flavor! "She has to have flavor. You can't just put salt and pepper in it," John said. "I don't do that anyway, but she knows! There's got to be some spice and herbs. She's all about making it soulful and flavorful."
