Natalie Portman looked absolutely breathtaking at the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards, which took place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday, January 7th.

The Oscar-winning actress was nominated in the ‘Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture’ category for her role in May December, directed by Todd Haynes. She faced stiff competition from other world-class actresses such as Emma Stone for Poor Things, Margot Robbie for Barbie, Jennifer Lawrence for No Hard Feelings, Fantasia Barrino for The Color Purple, and Alma Pöysti for Fallen Leaves, with the award ultimately going to Stone. However, we think it was still a winning night for Portman, as her red carpet look might just go down in history!

Natalie Portman Makes Jaws Drop With Her Bedazzled Dior Dress On The Golden Globes Red Carpet

The 42-year-old Black Swan star stepped onto the red carpet in a truly unforgettable multi-colored bedazzled floral gown by Dior, featuring a plunging square neckline and a flattering empire waist. It was a true work of art!

The Dior brand ambassador accessorized her head-turning look with diamond drop De Beers earrings and Jimmy Choo shoes. She wore her dark brunette locks in a sleek and straight low ponytail, which let the sparkling earrings command all of the attention.

Her makeup, applied so expertly by Lisa Storey using Dior Beauty products (what else?!) consisted of a glamorous bronze smoky eye, rosy cheeks, and a soft pink lip achieved by using products such as the Dior Lip Contour in 720 Icone and the Dior Lip Glow in 006 Berry. Storey told her Instagram followers that "the look was inspired by the Dior Dress," which reminded her "of Monet's painting, The Artist's Garden in Giverny."

Fan Comments

Variety posted a TikTok video of the Thor: Love and Thunder actress walking the red carpet, and there were countless compliments about her stunning dress, which one fan said "looks like a Monet painting." "That dress is like an impressionist painting. It's beautiful," gushed another fan. "Favorite dress of the night. So simple yet breathtakingly beautiful," raved another, as someone else wrote: "Royalty, this dress is beautiful and stunning on her."

"She is slaying that look!" exclaimed another fan. "Most beautiful woman in the world. Miss Dior," praised another, followed by a white heart emoji. However, among the many compliments about the No Strings Attached actress's look were more concerned comments about her somber facial expressions.

"She is visibly upset," thought one fan, followed by a crying emoji, which many others thought could have been related to the ongoing rumors of trouble in her marriage to Benjamin Millepied. "I was just thinking that, her eyes are always red," replied one fan, as another added: "Stunning... but she looks like she's trying not to cry."

However, other fans seemed to disagree, with one thinking not smiling was a deliberate choice. "A lot of people don't smile in red carpet photos," noted one fan. "Looks like she is tonguing the roof of her mouth for the photos not on the verge of tears," speculated another, as someone else said: "She looks fine, you all need a hobby." Zing!
