Natalie Portman is the latest A-lister to prove that short shorts are the ultimate spring/summer style staple, as she stepped out in a stunning Miu Miu pair for the premiere of the HBO docuseries Angel City at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Thursday, May 4th.

Natalie Portman Wears Miu Miu Bouclé Shorts And Matching Jacket To ‘Angel City’ Premiere

The 41-year-old Oscar-winner flaunted her seemingly endless legs in a pair of black bouclé Miu Miu shorts with grand gold buttons on the front pockets, which she teamed with the matching black bouclé Miu Miu jacket. So chic! The Jackie actress finished off with some bow-detail peep-toe slingback heels, and kept all other accessories to a minimum. Her glam was on point too, as she rocked some effortless middle-parted beach waves, and her makeup consisted of a smoky eye and subtle nude lips, as well as some bold red nail polish on her fingers. The perfect combination, we say!

If you want to try the short shorts trend for yourselves but don’t have anywhere quite as formal to wear them, fear not, as Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson are among the A-listers who have proven that more casual Daisy Duke versions are just as much in style too. Phew!

What Has Natalie Portman Said About ‘Angel City?’

The three-part HBO docuseries details the origins of the Los Angeles-based professional women’s soccer team, Angel City FC. It was directed by Arlene Nelson and executive produced by Portman, Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, with Sophie Mas, Anna Barnes and Christine O’Malley.

On the red carpet, the Black Swan actress and self-confessed soccer mom shared just how meaningful the impact of L.A.’s first National Women’s Soccer League was to her and the children in the community, telling People: “I’m definitely a soccer mom. I mean, we definitely come to a lot of the City games. And then also, my son is a ferocious soccer player, so I’m going back and forth to practice.” She also touched on it back in March, telling the pub that soccer “is something that really brings people together and is joyful.” She added: “And so you can be supporting something like women’s equity, but also having a great time doing it.”
