Instead, it means carefully going through the fashion archives of some of the biggest designers on the globe for something that stole the show several decades ago, in the hope that it will also do it again second time around. It was mission accomplished, as Portman's Mugler 1981 Haute Couture Vampire dress with a deep, plunging neckline that we would never have predicted the actress would wear did just that! Portman let the dress do all the talking and kept the rest of the look super minimal, accessorizing with some simple black sandals and Fernando Jorge jewelry.

No, you haven't hopped in a time machine and transported yourself to the early 80s (although wouldn’t that be fun?!) as the reason you recognize the dress is because Dua Lipa actually wore a velvet, forest green version of the very same dress when she hosted Saturday Night Live back in December last year.
