Natalie Portman Wows In A Sheer Dress For The Academy Museum Gala
Having been a longstanding collaborator with Dior, it comes as no surprise that Portman effortlessly showcased this striking gold and black ensemble. In 2010, Portman forged a partnership with Dior, becoming the face of several of the brand's advertising campaigns, particularly for their fragrances.
Throughout this year alone, she has graced various red carpets adorned in numerous Dior creations, ranging from a captivating blue tulle gown at Cannes to a light blue floral dress for the Gotham Awards, and a sophisticated white strapless gown for the Dior Autumn-Winter Haute Couture show.
On Sunday, December 3rd, the third annual gala unfolded at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. This edition of the event bestowed honors upon Meryl Streep, Michael B. Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, and Sofia Coppola for their significant contributions to the industry and the profound impact they have made.
Natalie Portman Talks About Her New Film, May December
Natalie Portman has recently been on a promotional tour of May December, her new movie which also stars Julianne Moore. The plot features Elizabeth Berry (Natalie Portman) in the role of an actor preparing for her upcoming part as Gracie Atherton-Yoo (Julianne Moore) in a film. To delve deeper into their relationship for the movie, Elizabeth embarks on a journey to a quaint coastal town in Georgia, where she spends a week with Gracie and her husband, Joe Yoo (Charles Melton), who is much younger than Gracie and met when he was a lot younger.
Talking about her initial reaction to the script in an interview with Deadline, Natalie said, "Jessica Elbaum, who’s another one of the producers, sent me the script, and I was just so blown away by Sammy Birch’s writing. It was just astonishing, and I was so moved by the specificity of the characters and the exploration of subjects like performance and identity. I sent it to Todd, who I had always wanted to work with, and I had previously sent him other projects that he had not responded to. So, it was very exciting when he was taken with this story. And the rest just kind of rolled from there, into this dream assembly of people."
