The item's playful, thigh-grazing hemline added a flirtatious touch, perfectly complemented by the May December star's shimmering metallic open-toe sandals. Portman, 43, accessorized with shimmering diamond stud earrings from Fred Leighton and matching shiny rings.

As for her glam, the Black Swan alum opted for smokey eyeshadow, black winged liner, voluminous lashes and ample rosy blush on her high cheekbones.

The mom of two topped it all off with a matching berry lipstick hue. Portman wore her brunette tresses down, parted in the center and styled into elegant loose curls.

Portman takes the lead in Lady in the Lake, a gripping thriller series set against the backdrop of 1960s Baltimore. The story follows a determined investigative journalist who finds herself at odds with a passionate activist championing the community's cause.

Leaving behind her affectionate husband and their spacious home in Pikesville, she dives headfirst into the world of newspaper reporting, driven by an obsession to solve the mysteries of two unrelated murders.

Inspired by Laura Lippman's 2019 novel of the same name, the show will debut on Apple TV+ on July 19th. Portman discussed her new role and character in a new interview with People this week.

"I don’t like to compare myself to my characters. I always try to explore something different from what I am in my real life," she told the outlet regarding her character, Maddie Schwartz.

The Thor: Love and Thunder star went on: "But something that was really different for this was that my grandmother was in her 40s during the 1960s, and she was originally from Baltimore — where this is set — in the Jewish community."

Portman continued: "I really got to explore what her life might have been like, what challenges she might have faced, what feelings she might have been frustrated by. And so that was really amazing to imagine."
