Netflix viewers call "Best. Christmas. Ever!" the "worst"
On the surface, "Best. Christmas. Ever!" seems like a fun, festive flick to cozy up and enjoy this winter. Unfortunately, though, the name might be misleading, as many viewers are calling it the worst.
Starring Heather Graham as Charlotte and Brandy as Jackie, the film follows two old friends. Jackie's life always looks perfect on the outside, especially according to the boastful holiday newsletter she sends to Charlotte every year. However, this year, Charlotte sets out to prove that her friend's like can't possibly be as flawless as it seems. Unsurprisingly, chaos ensues.
Although this film seems like your run of the mill holiday movie (cheesy but fine), the ratings from viewers and critics alike suggest that you're better off sticking to Elf and The Holiday while you cozy up with your favorite treats this year. Its Rotten Tomatoes rating rests at a meager 33%, and Netflix subscribers across the internet are giving it two thumbs down. Some are even labeling it the "worst movie of all time."
Some disgruntled viewers took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to vent their disappointment, with one user declaring, "Best. Christmas. Ever! could possibly be the worst Christmas movie ever." Another viewer urged, "Avoid or even better, poke your eyes out. That's far more enjoyable than putting yourself through this waste of 1.5 hrs."
This fiasco, on top of recent cancellations of fan-favorite shows, might leave Netflix on thin ice with many viewers. And much as we love a bad holiday movie, this one might just be bad enough to skip altogether.
