Netflix Subscribers Are Giving Their New Docuseries ‘Bad Surgeon’ A 10/10: ‘Go Watch’

As the weather gets colder, there’s nothing better than curling up on your couch with a bowl of popcorn and binging a new TV show. For fans of docuseries, Netflix has the best show to add to your list: Bad Surgeon: Love Under The Knife. A three-part series about infamous doctor Dr. Paolo Macchairini, it’s already #2 on Netflix’s Tv Shows Today category, and fans are already giving it a “10/10.” Keep reading for more information.

What Is 'Bad Surgeon' About?

A captivating medical drama series that premiered on Nov. 29th, the show tells the story of Dr. Paolo Macchairni, the supposed pioneer of regenerative medicine. He used stem cells to develop synthetic windpipes for transplantation, and was widely celebrated for his work. However, in 2016, he faced allegations of scientific and ethical misconduct. After various investigations, it was found that he violated many ethical standards and misrepresented his work, and seven of his patients died.

The show also explores his romantic relationship with news producer Benita Alexander, who is interviewed, along the investigators that discovered his horrific practices. "I was engaged to a monster," she says in the series' trailer. Though the entire show is less than 3 hours long, viewers are eating it up. Watch on Netflix to see for yourself!
