9 Reasons Why You Should Never Drink Snapple, Like, Ever!

Is there anything better than a glass of Snapple? Regardless of the flavor you choose, you know that you're in for a refreshing and flavorful drink. But, health experts say that Snapple could actually be doing more harm to your body than good because of its unhealthy ingredients and high sugar content. Here's why you should stop drinking Snapple in 2018:

1. The serving sizes are confusing 

Did you know that one 16-oz bottle of Snapple actually contains two servings? If you finish the bottle, you're looking at a lot of extra calories, sugar and harmful ingredients. 

2. There's a lot of sugar in there... 

You can find between 40 and 41 grams of sugar in an 11.5-ounce container of Snapple, according to The New York Times. That's equivalent to 10 teaspoons of sugar! 

3. ... and calories! 

There's also at least 160-170 calories in each 11.5-ounce container of Snapple. That's a lot for a drink!

4. The ingredients aren't as healthy as advertised

Snapple gets its fruity flavors from a variety of chemicals and additives. For example, it gets its lemon flavoring from citric acid, which is also used in Lemon Pledge. 

5. There aren't any antioxidants in there either 

According to Fooducate, Snapple has zero antioxidants. And if there are any in there, they usually disintergrate from the time the tea is brewed to when they hit the shelves. 

6. Diet Snapple isn't a healthier option

Diet Snapple contains aspartame, which has been dubbed one of the most toxic food additives, according to Fitness MagazineIt's even been linked to cancer and brain tumors! 

7. It can make your teeth rot 

The citric acid used in most flavors of Snapple has been linked to tooth erosion, meaning that your daily Snapple could cost you your smile. 

8. It can also cause damage to your stomach lining 

Citric acid can also upset your stomach and damage your stomach lining. Yikes!

9. All of that sugar isn't doing your body any favors

Daily consumption of Snapple can lead to a slew of diseases and ailments including type 2 diabetes, metabolic disorders, inflammation, cancer, and obesity.
