Busy mornings call for improvisation, and that might even mean grabbing your coffee on the go instead of brewing it at home. If you often find yourself getting your morning cup of joe from a fast food drive-thru, employees want you to know that you're making a BIG mistake -- especially if you've chosen McDonald's. One employee revealed that their McCafé machines are "horrifically dirty" and are rarely cleaned properly!

"I work for McDonald's and make sure everyone that matters to me never orders anything that comes out of the 'McCafé' machine as these are routinely neglected, in practically all the McDonald's," an employee revealed on Reddit. "All McCafé beverages run through a horrifically dirty machine -- we're talking 5+ inches of uncleaned, liquid making up its inside parts."
The employee went on to explain that this was due to the fact that the staff members were never taught how clean the machine properly, not even the managers! "Not only are staff not properly trained in its cleaning and maintenance, at almost every McDonald's I've had experience with, the managers in charge of training them don't know either," they continued.
Another Mickey D's employee chimed in and said that cleaning the McCafé takes 30-45 minutes to do it properly. So, now it makes sense why employees wouldn't want to take the time to clean it thoroughly...
Yikes! Well, it looks like we'll be sticking with a soda the next time we're at McDonald's. Or, maybe just a water...
