McDonald's has become everyone's go-to for tasty burgers and fries -- and even coffee, too! The chain's McCafe menu offers customers a wide variety of hot and iced coffee beverages, which has been well-received by Mickey D's lovers around the country. But, employees say that this isn't the best place for customers to get their morning cup of joe. In fact, they revealed that the coffee machine isn't as clean as we'd like to be...

One employee took to Reddit to tell customers what they should avoid when eating at McDonald's. Their response called out how "horrifically dirty" the McCafe machines are and how they're rarely cleaned by the staff. Yikes!
"I work for Mcdonald’s and make sure everyone that matters to me never orders anything that comes out of the McCafe machine, as these are routinely neglected in practically all the McDonalds," the employee said, according to Huffington Post. "All McCafe beverages run through a horrifically dirty machine -- we’re talking 5+ inches of uncleaned, liquid making up its inside parts."
Yeah, that's definitely not where we want our coffee coming from in the morning. The employee says that these unsanitary conditions are the result of the staff not being properly trained on how to clean the machines, highlighting a very problematic lack of training on all levels of managements. "Not only [is the] staff not properly trained in its cleaning and maintenance at almost every McDonalds I’ve had experience with, but the managers in charge of training them don’t know [how to] either," they continued.
Wow, who would have thought that McCafe machines could get so dirty? We hope that this just the case for this employee's McDonald's, because we always get our coffee from Mickey D's!
