Though the Chocolate Truffle Tower Cake is undoubtedly delicious, chefs say that customers should be wary of chocolate desserts at restaurants. "Chocolate will always be renowned as being delicious, but there is nothing creative about throwing chocolate into a cake or a cookie," pastry chef Ashley Low told Boston Eater in 2016.
Pastry chef Robert Daniel Gonzalez also agrees with this philosophy. He said, "When it comes to desserts, many are sold on purely for having chocolate in the name rather than diners reaching outside of their comfort zone to truly experience a new culinary adventure."
