iPhone Experts Agree: Never Turn These Settings On If You Want A Long-Lasting Battery

Of course you want your iPhone battery to be as long lasting as possible, and sometimes that means sacrificing a few settings. There are a number of settings on your device that can cause it to slow down and stall — all because of the battery-intensive resources they take up.
If you want the fastest, most efficient iPhone battery possible, it’s a good idea to turn off these settings, or just never turn them on. As convenient as some of these may be, they aren’t worth it if you want a phone that doesn’t take its time doing everything under the sun.
Background App RefreshBackground App Refresh continually refreshes your apps so that they deliver the latest and greatest content whenever you access them. This is much more of a nice-to-have feature than it is a necessity and turning it off will help save battery power. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
