It doesn’t seem like Prince William and Prince Harry are going to rekindle their brotherly relationship anytime soon. After feuding for over a year, the royal siblings have still not come to terms with their differences.

And now, a royal expert is saying that he doesn’t think the princes will be planning any family holidays together – despite the fact that they each have growing families and children who may want to spend time with their cousins.

“It’s perhaps unlikely that they’re going to be spending what we would think of as quality family time together at Christmas and New Years and birthdays,” royal expert and London correspondent, Jonathan Sacerdoti, told Us Weekly.

It appears that the brothers have been working to make amends, especially as family circumstances have caused them to get together in person twice recently.

After living on separate continents for over a year, Prince William and Prince Harry reunited at their grandfather's funeral in April, and again at a service unveiling a statuie in honor of their mother last month.

A source reported to Us Weekly, “William and Harry spent the morning before the statue unveiling looking through old keepsakes, notes from Diana and bonding. They have absolutely turned a new page in their relationship and have started the healing. Everyone around them was thrilled to see how close they were on the day of the statue unveiling.”

However, Prince William has yet to meet his newborn niece, Prince Harry's daughter Lilibet who was born in May.

Sacerdoti commented, “Just remember that the queen hasn’t met her latest granddaughter. It doesn’t seem likely that she’s going to anytime soon. She’s barely seen Archie for quite a while.

"On a human family level, forgetting them being the royal family, there’s already quite some frostiness and distance there. So I suspect if things can go well, [then] maybe they’ll have the occasional meeting, but I don’t think it seems very high on anyone’s agenda.”

Prince William and Prince Harry have been at odds since the latter decided to step away from his status as a senior member of the royal family at the start of 2020. The decision caused a huge rift between Harry and the rest of the family, though his relationship with his brother seems to have suffered the most.

Sacerdoti explained that now, the distance between the brothers has a lot to do with their physical distance, living on separate continets, moreso than any animosity from past deicions.

He said, “It’s like any family. Sometimes we keep a closer contact with people than other times, and some people we stay more in touch with than others. So I think just the very distance between the United States and the United Kingdom and the complications of either parts of this family being able to travel means that jetting backwards and forwards isn’t necessarily going to happen though."
