Nick Jonas suffered a pretty nasty bike accident. The 28-year-old singer revealed on a recent episode of “The Voice” that he had fallen off a bike and sustained his fair share of injuries.
“I’m feeling okay. I’ve been better, but I’m doing all right,” he said on the show. “I cracked a rib from a spill on a bike and a few other bumps and bruises, but I just want to go ahead and say that, in case I’m not as physically enthusiastic as I usually am.
Jokingly, he turned to colleague Blake Shelton and added, “Blake, please don’t make me laugh too much because it kind of hurts.”
Jonas did not give any further information about his accident on “The Voice,” though it is known that he cracked a rib and sustained some bruising. There is also a report on TMZ that the singer was taken by ambulance to a hospital after being injured while filming a new show the previous weekend.
It is not confirmed whether this injury is the bike accident Jonas had described, though it is likely a safe assumption to make.
Jonas is currently a coach on the 20th season of “The Voice,” which airs on NBC on Monday nights. He first joined the show during season 18, which aired in 2020.
The singer is also focused on other areas of his career, having just announced that he and his brother, Kevin and Joe Jonas, are planning to go on tour together this year.
Nick Jonas and his two older brothers first started performing as the Jonas Brothers in 2005, while also appearing on The Disney Channel. They first decided to move on to other career endeavors in 2013, though the band has reunited a few times since.
The Jonas Brothers released new music together in March of this year, which was the first album they had created since 2019. Now they are set to tour together this August, with Kelsea Ballerini as a guest.
And, Nick Jonas told Entertainment Tonight that there might be even more new music from him and his brothers.
"This could mean that there will be new Jonas Brothers music," he said. "We've been working together in this year and a half where we've been apart, and always kinda keeping on the grind a little bit, trying to find new songs and and new inspiration. I think with the tour in mind, it would make sense, but again I don't wanna give too much away, just keep your eyes and ears open."
