After receiving criticism for an Instagram post earlier this week, comedian Amy Schumer decided to retract her seemingly playful teasing of actress Nicole Kidman.
The controversial post, which featured a photo of Kidman, 56, in a pink outfit sitting in the stands at the US Open, was accompanied by a caption that implied that the Oscar winner looked robotic.
Many Instagram users and Kidman fans were quick to accuse Schumer, 42, of “cyberbullying” and “mean girl behavior” in the post’s comment section. In response to the backlash, Schumer deleted the photo from her page.

On September 11th, Schumer shared a photo of Kidman from the event, and captioned it: "This how human sit," for her 13.1 million followers.
One fan quickly commented: "Are you cyberbullying Oscar and Emmy winner Nicole Kidman right now?"
Another added: "Bringing others down is always a sign of our own internal insecurities anyway, so the critics here should hold a mirror." Someone else chimed in: "Empowered women empower women, do better."
