Many onlookers at the InStyle Awards in Los Angeles this week were tongue-tied over Camila Mendes’ sheer Prada top, we still can’t believe the look that the incomparable Nicole Kidman served. The ageless beauty shut down the red carpet in a Giorgio Armani Spring 2009 Couture gown that will live rent free in our minds.
The 54-year-old proved she’s like a fine wine when she stepped out at the annual style awards to give pal Melissa McCarthy the (well deserved) “Icon Award” wearing a form-fitting purple sequined dress from the Italian label that fits her like a glove. Is she for real??

The “Being The Ricardos” star teamed up with frequent collaborator, stylist Julia von Boehm, on the look, which also came complete with Harry Winston jewels and Aquazzura sandals that showed off the actress’ stunning legs. Von Boehm is also responsible for Nicole’s high-slit CMA’s 2021 look, which is playing on a loop in my brain.
What was the glam, you ask? A bun with curly tendrils came courtesy of hair stylist Kylee Heath, and glowy and natural makeup by Kate Synnott, the artists shared to their social pages. I’d be a #proudstylist, too!

For the couture lovers, yes this piece has a slinky mid-length silhouette with a slightly flared peplum skirt. And oh-so-many sequins (not unlike the Armani Privé dress Nic wore to the SAG Awards this year)!
“That body. Those jewels. The face. So perfect.” one Instagram user posted on von Boehm’s post. We couldn’t agree more!
