Nicole Kidman illuminated the 81st Venice Film Festival this week, captivating onlookers in an elegant black midi dress by Bottega Veneta.

The outfit, highlighted by a plunging neckline and refined puffed short sleeves, boasted a timeless A-line shape that gracefully reached her ankles.

The dress’s bodice cinched flawlessly, cascading into a subtly pleated skirt that imparted both texture and fluidity.

Present at the festival to promote her newest erotic thriller, Babygirl, Kidman, 57, completed her sophisticated ensemble with white leather open-toed mule heels.

The Oscar winner and style icon accessorized her simple and elegant get-up with dangling shimmering pendant earrings and a gold watch with a black band.

As for her glam, the Eyes Wide Shut alum wore her signature strawberry blonde tresses in a voluminous high ponytail.

For her makeup look, Kidman sported black liner with a subtle wing, long lashes, ample rosy blush on her high cheekbones and a glossy pink pout.

Soon after Kidman's appearance at the festival, fans headed to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts. "Beautiful," one wrote in a recent thread about her ensemble as another tweeted: "love this look!"

Kidman's latest venture, Babygirl, is a new erotic thriller crafted by the multifaceted Halina Reijn, who wrote, directed, and co-produced the film. The cast includes Kidman, Harris Dickinson, Sophie Wilde, and Antonio Banderas.

The Big Little Lies actress takes on the role of Romy, a high-powered CEO who finds herself entangled in a taboo affair with a mesmerizing, much younger intern portrayed by Dickinson, 28.

The film made its grand debut on August 30, 2024, at the Venice International Film Festival, where it vies for the coveted Golden Lion.

Its North American debut is set for September 10, 2024, at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival.

A24 will subsequently release the film in the United States and Canada on December 25, 2024 (mark your calendars!)
