The Vampire Diaries alum, 33, donned a multi-color jacket and shirt underneath it with matching floral prints, a pair of black polka-dot, micro shorts, and sheer tights as she posed at the Mammoth Film Festival on February 7th.

The witty actress captioned her post, “if you put tights on does it make it more acceptable to wear shorts in the mountains? asking for a friend…” and garnered over 968,000 likes and comments of approval from her fans.

To complete her chic look, Dobrev grabbed a hot-pink Valentino purse and knee-high black boots for a timeless addition (and to help keep warm at the festival’s chilly location in the Californian Sierra Nevada Mountains).
