All eyes have been on Olivia Wilde these past few weeks, as she has been on the Don’t Worry Darling promo trail along with Florence Pugh, Chris Pine, and Harry Styles, among others. And while she has owned the red carpet in one stunning look after another, it was the outfit she wore for the 70th San Sebastian International Film Festival at the Kursaal Palace in San Sebastian, Spain on September 17th that we haven’t been able to stop thinking about!

The 38-year-old actress and director took our breath away when she walked the red carpet in a 70s-inspired long-sleeved floor-length dress from the Kwaidan Editions Spring 2019 collection, which came complete with a high neck and a psychedelic orange, mustard yellow and brown floral print. It was such an unexpected look, which is perhaps why we love it as much as we do!

Despite the high neck and floor-length hem, the silhouette of the dress still showed off Olivia’s svelte and enviable figure thanks to the nipped in waist. And the styling was everything too, as Olivia wore Casadei platform boots and styled her hair in an effortless loose braid, while her makeup consisted of softly lined eyes and a subtle pink lip.

Olivia kept the rest of her accessories fairly simple to let the dress command all of the attention, choosing some Jessica McCormack white gold and diamond hoop earrings and matching rings. One of the most powerful promo looks so far, which is why we aren’t shocked to see other A-listers and style mavens experimenting with the 70s-inspired trend.

Devon Windsor just proved that Olivia’s look wasn’t just a one off, and hinted that the printed 70s trend is only getting bigger by the day! The 28-year-old model gave fans her interpretation of the trend when she posted a picture of herself on Instagram on September 20th rocking a luminous green co-ord in a kaleidoscopic pattern, consisting of a high-necked, long-sleeved cropped top with a daring exposed back, and matching high-waisted pants.

The Victoria’s Secret model’s look proved that the 70s trend can be interpreted in more than one way, and if more understated, muted tones aren’t quite for you, there is always the option to go for a bolder and brighter color palette too!
