Over her years in the spotlight, Kelly Clarkson has been open about how her weight fluctuates.
Recently, it looks like ‘The Voice’ star has dropped several pounds, and some are even dubbing her new look a ‘revenge body,’ considering her ongoing divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

Although Kelly has not spoken up recently about her weight loss, the the singer did get candid about her weight during a Today interview with Hoda Kotb back in 2018.
At the time, Clarkson explained that a lot of her weight loss was due to handling her thyroid issue: "I had an autoimmune disease and a thyroid problem that started in 2006. I read this book, it's called The Plant Paradox [by Steven R. Gundry, MD], and it might not work for you but it worked wonders for me."
"I'm, like, 37 pounds lighter," she added.
She continued, "I know the industry loves the weight gone, but for me it wasn't (about) the weight. For me, it was 'I'm not on my medicine any more.'"
More recently, the singer spoke about her weight to Glamour UK.
In a June 2020 interview with the magazine, Clarkson explained how her weight has played a role in her career: "I felt more pressure from people actually when I was thin, when I was really thin and not super healthy because I just was worn out, just working so hard and not keeping healthy habits. But I felt more pressure. It was more of magazines shoved in front of you and, 'This is what you're competing with and we've got to compete with it.' I can't compete with that. That's not even my image. That's not who I am. That's who they are."
She added, "I fought more when I was thinner than I do now, because now I just walk in and I just look at them like, 'I dare you to say something. I'm happy in my life. I'll work on me in my time!'"
Plus, Clarkson adds, being skinny does not necessarily mean being successful.
"Honestly, at my heaviest point, I was hired to be on The Voice. I got on the number one television show at my heaviest point, because it was right after I had kids and it was like they didn't care. Paul hired me from NBC because he loved my personality, he loved that I connect with people and I'm really raw and real," she explained. "It had nothing to do with my sex appeal or my look aesthetically. It had to do with me as a person. I think it's really up to artists to force people to have that mentality."
It sounds like Clarkson is happy at any weight, but fans are still convinced that her new look is a result of her 'revenge body.'
One commented, "Those boots were made walking over your future ex husband."
"Looking good! I want your diet secrets!!!" another fan wrote.
Another commented, "You were stunning yesterday. I haven’t seen you looking that good in a while. Whatever is happening in your life is showing. #MaybeFreedom?"
