You wake up, brush your teeth, and pick out your clothes. Your morning may have an established schedule that works for you, but did you know you can plan accordingly for your phone, as well, so that it works longer and better? There’s one simple thing you can do every day, or at least every few days, that will work to boost the health of your smartphone. This is the one thing you should do to your iPhone every morning to make it last years longer.
Reboot ItAccording to Matthew Connor, founder & CEO of Your I.T. Department, the solution is simple: reboot your phone. “There’s malicious software / code that can run in the memory of your iPhone,” Connor says. “So you could easily be providing everything you do to someone, be that a hacker, jealous mate, ex, etc. You can’t uninstall them because they aren’t an installed app on your phone, and they run invisibly behind the scenes. They’re running in memory and are removed from memory by powering off your iPhone and powering it back on. By that, I don’t mean pushing the power button, but holding down the power button and the volume up button until it says slide to power off.”
