The number one thing you should not do when pre-ordering your iPhone 12 is shop based solely on your phone’s size — or make assumptions about its features based on size and price alone.
This time around Apple is offering four iPhone 12 models: iPhone 12, Pro, Pro Max, and Mini. They differ in price, but they also differ slightly in what they offer.
Many Apple customers shop for their phones based on the device’s camera abilities, and even use their phones in place of traditional cameras and video recorders. But if your camera is something that you care about, be aware that the quality of photos will not be the same across all four iPhone 12 models.
The iPhone 12 Pro is not the model that will offer you the best camera quality, according to tech experts. Instead, it is worth your while to spend more on the iPhone Pro Max, which features “massive camera improvements” that include a larger, better main camera sensor that is 47 percent larger and improves low light by a whopping 87 percent. This model also provides a new sensor shift that provides even sharper images and video.
You can purchase the iPhone 12 and Pro now, with delivery times expected in November for the Pro. But if you want the Mini or Pro Max, the order date is Nov. 6, with shipping scheduled for Nov. 13. Set your calendar alert — but be sure you are purchasing the iPhone 12 model that meets both your budget and feature requirements.
