The One Thing You Should Never Say When Ordering Food At Wendy’s, According to An Employee

May 7, 2017 by Amanda Seale

Recently, Wendy’s has been taking the Internet by storm, specifically on Twitter. From calling out haters to promising a customer a lifetime of chicken nuggets for 18 million retweets, Wendy’s is killin’ the social media game. Even though Wendy’s has a lot to say on Twitter, there’s a couple things we, as customers, probably shouldn’t be saying to Wendy’s employees.

First things first, don’t order the one meal employees warn customers about. For your sake, you did some digging to find out that this is the worst meal at Wendy’s. Hint: it’s made from burnt and expired food. Gross!

Next, tone down the complaining. The golden rule is to keep the complaints to a minimum at restaurants. The last thing you want is to piss off the people handling your food because you never know what could happen before your food gets to you. According to a former employee, one thing that really ticked her off was when customers would say, "I thought this was supposed to be fast food." She asks that customers be a little more patient because employees can’t speed up the cooking process and it’s better to get your food fresh than to be served food that’s been sitting out all day. For future reference, if something is wrong with your order, try to be as polite and friendly as possible.

Lastly, nothing angers Wendy’s employees more than when customers insult the slogan, “fresh never frozen beef.” Every day Wendy’s employees have to explain that it’s true and that they refrigerate the beef, not freeze it.

Wendy’s on Twitter called out a “troll” for making a similar remark. @NHride tweeted that the beef is frozen, “we all know it,” and Wendy’s is “really a joke.” When Wendy’s ensured the person that the beef has been served fresh since it was founded in 1969, @NHride replied, “@Wendys y'all should give up. @McDonalds got you guys beat with the dope ass breakfast.” Wendy’s had the BEST comeback-- “You don't have to bring them into this just because you forgot refrigerators existed for a second there.” The lesson here is don’t mess with Wendy’s on Twitter. All in all, try to stay calm and patient when ordering food at any fast food restaurant. Also, keep in mind the employees are only human even the ones responsible for the hilarious Wendy’s tweets.
