Oprah Winfrey Wears Custom Purple Louis Vuitton Gown On Golden Globes Red Carpet
The long-sleeved gown, which featured a flattering asymmetric off-the-shoulder neckline and a subtle train, was quite literally made for the Build the Life You Want: The Art and Science of Getting Happier author, which was more than obvious due to the beyond-perfect fit.
She accessorized with matching purple pointed-toe Manolo Blahnik pumps (but of course!) and dazzling purple drop earrings, which were visible thanks to her glamorous side-swept curly down do, styled by Nicole Mangrum. For makeup, makeup artist Derrick Rutledge gave Oprah some complementary purple eye shadow, a berry-hued lip, and a flawless, glowing base.
Oprah's Dress Reportedly Took Over 600 Hours To Make
In case it wasn't already obvious, Oprah's Louis Vuitton dress was a work of art, and she reportedly told Extra that it took "600 hours" to make from start to finish. "Three women… It's like a work of art," she continued, adding: "I am gonna hate to take it off, I'm gonna need three people to take it off."
Harron shared a glamorous picture of Oprah's Golden Globes look on Instagram, and told fans a little bit more about it. She wrote: "This long gown with asymmetrical draped neckline and long fitted sleeves was made in stretch tulle, and all over embroidered with a geometrical motif in a mix of purple shiny and matte sequins, with an internal bustier and train on the back."
"Ms Oprah Winfrey looks absolutely stunning. All of the recent looks have been fabulous. Brava," raved one person in the comments section, followed by two fire emojis. "Perfection!" exclaimed another, followed by three apt purple heart emojis. "Stunning," someone else added, as another said she was "Gorgeous."
