Oprah Winfrey graced the 2024 Grammys red carpet in a glimmering Valentino ensemble comprising of a sparkly pleated black skirt and matching top, honoring her late friend Tina Turner and her striking fashion sense.
The television personality, 70, also flaunted her recently slimmed-down figure, having previously disclosed her usage of weight loss medication.
At the ceremony, Winfrey paid homage to Turner once more through a heartfelt speech on stage. She also presented and introduced a musical tribute to the iconic singer featuring the vocal talents of Fantasia Barrino.

Winfrey's sleek black skirt for the evening featured a knee-length hemline. The multi-hyphenate paired this piece with a low-cut, long-sleeved, sequined top. The Color Purple alum added sheer black tights and matching pointed-toe heels to top it all off.
As for her glam, the former talk show host wore her black tresses in an elegant, slicked-back high ponytail. For her makeup look, Winfrey sported thick, black winged eyeliner, sky-high lashes, rosy blush and a glossy pink pout.
To dazzle up her ensemble even more, the producer added her signature circular frame glasses, shiny dangly earrings, chunky rings, a standout gold bracelet and a glimmering black Valentino handbag. In an Instagram post for her 22.8 million followers, Winfrey opened up more about the significance of her outfit.
"My first #Grammys and it was to honor my friend Tina Turner who was simply the best," she captioned her post, featuring images of the Wrinkle in Time star posing on a grand staircase. "Pulled this vintage @maisonvalentino out of my closet to pay homage to her many famous short skirts! @recordingacademy," Winfrey added.
Later on during the night, Winfrey made an appearance on the Grammys main stage and talked to the audience about Turner, who passed away in May 2023. "From the moment I met Tina, first as a fan, then later blessed to become her friend, she was a special kind of role model," Winfrey said. The stylish media mogul continued: "And as those big wheels of time keep on turning, Tina’s voice continues to speak to all of us."
Following her presentation and Barrino's performance, Winfrey posted an Instagram Story clip from backstage and said: "I thought it was so much fun. It was so much fun to honor Tina. And I’m glad I got my cry out yesterday so I didn’t have to cry today, I could just celebrate.
"It was so much fun. And I thought Fantasia killed it … the outfits … I loved the whole thing. I loved it, loved it, loved it, loved it," Winfrey continued. "I think this is my first Grammys!" Winfrey pointed out. "The only one I remember … the first Grammys in the past 30 years, I can tell you that."
