Oprah Winfrey continues to flaunt her sleek figure after an impressive 40-pound weight loss, much to the delight of her fans. The 70-year-old media mogul attended the 23rd Annual Power of a Dream event in Washington D.C. last week, where she wore a dazzling silver metallic pleated maxi skirt paired with a matching sparkling jacket.
The former talk show host complemented her outfit with a fitted brown ribbed turtleneck sweater and shiny brown pumps. Winfrey radiated style during the October 10th celebration at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, finishing her look with chunky metal rings and dangling earrings.

As for her glam, the businesswoman wore her voluminous, glossy, dark tresses down, parted in the center and styled into elegant waves. For her makeup look, Winfrey sported smokey eyeshadow (perfect for fall), black liner, sky-high lashes, radiant rosy blush on her cheekbones and a glossy nude pout. Winfrey beamed with joy as she posed for photos on the red carpet. She was accompanied by Wintley Phipps, the founder of the U.S. Dream Academy, who later honored her with the Legacy Award at the ceremony.
The Wrinkle in Time star previously opened up about utilizing a weight loss drug to shed pounds, although she didn't reveal which one. As Winfrey told People in December 2023: "I now use it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing." The Weight Watchers alum added: "The fact that there's a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for."
In the interview late last year, Winfrey noted that she was "absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself" regarding her choice. She also revealed that before deciding to take weight loss medication personally, she had already suggested these drugs to others. Winfrey shared that she started using the weight loss medication just before Thanksgiving, noting that it "quiets the food noise."
At the time, Winfrey also revealed her goal weight was 160 lbs. She stressed that the joy and strength she found while working towards a healthier mindset and body was "not about the number." Although medication has supported her weight loss journey, Winfrey also said that she diligently follows a fitness routine to shed pounds and maintain a healthier figure. And as many fans on social media are noticing with her recent red carpet appearances, she is looking as "chic" and "fit" as ever!
