Sharon Osbourne Admits To Trying To 'Overdose' After Finding Out About Ozzy's Affair
Last month, Sharon Osbourne dropped a bombshell about her life on her Sharon Osbourne: Cut the C**p show, and confessed that she tried to commit suicide via overdosing when she found out that her husband was having an affair with a hair stylist.
Sharon and Ozzy got married back in 1982; but in 2016, they revealed they were splitting up after 33 years of marriage because Sharon discovered that Ozzy had been having an affair. Soon after finding out, Sharon's mental health took a turn for the worse.
"I took, I don't know how many pills," she said, adding that she felt that her children were "older" and thus they could "take care of themselves" if she was gone. "I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom. The maid tried to come in to clean the room and saw me," she described.
You might be wondering how Sharon didn't know about the affair for four years. "He always, always had groupies and I was so used to that," she explained. "But when he knows the name of the person, where they live and where they work... it is a whole different thing as you are emotionally invested." She added: "There wasn't just one woman. There were six of them."
Sharon Osbourne Says Ozzy 'Feels No Guilt'
The former X Factor judge told Moore and the audience that her husband "feels no guilt" over his affair with hairdresser Michelle Pugh, as "he's not doing it now." She went on to say that she's become used to her husband's wandering eye due to him touring the world with Black Sabbath, and confessed that he'd been intimate with "hundreds of groupies."
Interestingly, Sharon said that she didn't seem to mind the groupies as much, as it was the affair that really got to her the most. "A groupie just gives a [expletive] and then you never see them again, whereas [with] an affair, you're emotionally invested," she shared.
Sharon & Ozzy Renewed Their Wedding Vows In 2017 After Ozzy Went To Rehab
In August 2016, Ozzy went to rehab for sex addiction. Afterwards, the couple got back together and renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas on Mother's Day in 2017.
"For me, this was actually our real wedding day," Ozzy told Hello! Magazine about the intimate ceremony back in 2017. "This is the one that I will remember. Sharon and I have been through so much, and this honestly feels like a new beginning," he added.
"I made a huge mistake," Ozzy said of the affair. "Without Sharon, I am nothing. I love her. I can honestly say that I have never loved anybody other than my wife." In that same interview, Sharon added: "It was hard to rebuild the trust, but I can't imagine my life without Ozzy. The ceremony was just beautiful. We've fallen in love all over again."
