Three months have gone by, and we are still crushing on Padma Lakshmi‘s dreamy look from the Time 100 Gala, which took place at the Lincoln Center in New York on Wednesday, April 26th.
Styled by Jason Rembert, the 52-year-old Top Chef host dazzled on the red carpet in a periwinkle strapless ballgown from the Marchesa Spring/Summer 2023 collection which actually incorporated two of our favorite red carpet trends in one.

Not only did the textured organza ballgown with a flattering sweetheart bodice and ruffle skirt come in a seductive sheer fabric, but it also featured one of the highest leg slits we’ve ever seen on a red carpet. (And that's saying something, because there have been a *lot* of super-daring thigh high slits in recent months.)
Padma pulled it off so spectacularly, which is why we are still obsessing over it all these months later! She completed the dress by adding some metallic silver Gianvito Rossi sandals, and quite smartly chose to forgo any jewelry on her neck to allow the detailing on the bodice command all of the attention.

The Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi host shared some pictures of her time at the gala on her own Instagram account the very next day, and her fans couldn’t stop complimenting her appearance! "You told me you had a dress, but that is a GOWN… stunning!" exclaimed one fan, followed by a matching blue heart emoji and an apt fire emoji.
