Familiar with stunning makeup-free appearances, Pamela Anderson recently graced a photoshoot for CR Fashion Book where she showcased her innate beauty with little-to-no cosmetics.

The Baywatch alum, 56, donned several edgy and chic outfits, composed of high fashion pieces like a sheer, gold-buttoned catsuit from The Attico, a glittery silver cape by Courrèges paired with a long black Rick Owens skirt, a curve-hugging Alaïa midi dress with leggings, and more.

As for her glam, the mom of two went for a more minimal look, highlighting her natural beauty with a glossy nude lip for many shots and skipping mascara, eyeliner, blush and other typical touches.

Pamela Anderson Opens Up About 'Flipping The Script' When It Comes To Beauty Standards & Going Makeup-Free

For the publication's Issue 24, Anderson was interviewed about her approach to beauty standards. The discussion focused on how she shifted her image and began attending major events like Paris Fashion Week shows last year without any makeup. Anderson shared her experience of "flipping the script" and challenging traditional beauty norms.

"I was doing it for the girls," Anderson told the outlet, regarding going makeup-free. "I just think, the social media world and the fantasy, especially in fashion and film, those places are escapism, but this everyday stuff… I felt like It's okay to just be," she added.

The V.I.P. actress went on: "And I just didn’t want to get into the whole glam thing and play the game. I just want to flip the script; I want to challenge beauty. But my agents and even my kids were like, “Mom, you can’t, you need the glam team!' And I said, no, what are you talking about? The fact that you guys are saying that to me makes me not want to do it more! I’m going to do a fresh face, no makeup, not pretend no-makeup.' And I just felt free. No one looked at me and went, 'Aggghhhh!'"

As for her hair for the shoot, Anderson wore her signature light blonde tresses down, parted to the side and styled into effortless loose waves. Anderson also noted that she didn't initially intend to "make a big statement" by going makeup-free at Fashion Week shows last year, but she was happy that fans were able to take away a "positive message" from her stripped-back appearances.

The Stacked star and style icon pondered the impact of embracing her new lifestyle and how it has allowed her to cultivate a unique sense of chaos and unpredictability, or her "own kind of madness." She dished to CR: "You have to have a sense of humor about yourself. Like I said, right now is a very good time for me, especially because I've kind of put it out there… I hardly have to get ready. It's like you spend half your life in a makeup chair in this industry."

Anderson continued, reflecting: "I have a lot of great friends who are makeup and hair and stylists and those are all important people in these dreams that we're all creating for magazines and movies, but for every day, you lose yourself. So, it's nice to challenge yourself and not fall into all that madness. I create my own kind of madness."
