After the Charged Lemonade scandal at Panera Bread, the chain had to do something to get back in the public’s good graces, and they definitely delivered, adding eight new items to their menu. CinnaScramble & Sausage CinnaScramble
The first two never-before-seen menu items are the CinnaScrambles. These sandwiches replace regular sandwich bread or buns with a warmed cinnamon roll. These come in two flavors: the Classic CinnaScramble, which features egg and cheese along with some savory seasonings, and the Sausage CinnaScramble, which adds a sausage patty the sweet & savory sandwich. For those that can't decide between a sweet and savory breakfast, these are for you!
Choco Chipper, Candy Cookie, & Fudgy Brownie CinnaTop
Next, we're veering all the way over to the sweet side of the spectrum, with three new Cinnatops. A cinnamon roll base topped with sugary icing and a topping of your choice: Choco Chipper, Candy Cookie, and Fudgy Brownie. For a sweetness overload and extraordinary dessert, these are definitely worth a try.
These are not permanent additions to the Panera Bread menu, so if you're thinking about it, don't hesitate! Head to your local Panera and give it a try while it's still on the menu.
Steak & Wake
Back over on the savory side is the Steak & Wake sandwich, one of three new savory breakfast sandwiches. The Steak & Wake features tender, marinated, thin-sliced steak, folded scrambled eggs (mess free!), and melty aged white cheddar, all seasoned with salt and pepper and sandwiched between Panera's signature Ciabatta bread.
Ham, Egg, & Cheese
Sometimes, you don't want to mess with a good thing, so Panera kept things simple with this one. Black Forest ham and scrambled eggs with melty aged white cheddar between two pieces of their delicious Ciabatta bread: simple, yet undeniably delicious.
Bacon Double Take
The Bacon Double Take is exactly what it sounds like: a twist on your classic bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with more of the best part: bacon. Double the amount of applewood smoked back, folded scrambled egg, melty American cheese and provolone, tucked inside Black Pepper Focaccia. There's no better way to start your day!
The overall review from fans? On Panera's Instagram post announcing the new menu items, customers filled the comment section with expressions of excitement, arguing over which new menu item looks the most delicious. "My daily battle of sweet breakfast versus savory breakfast is finally over!" one person wrote.
"Everything looks so delicious!" agreed another customer. Only some of these items will be on the menu for longer than a few months, so if anything looks good, head to Panera ASAP!
