The mother of two has been vocal about the traumatic experiences she faced at four different youth facilities during her teenage years. Last Wednesday, Hilton testified before federal lawmakers about the horrifying abuse she endured in what is commonly known as the "troubled teen" industry.
"These programs promised healing, growth, and support, but instead, they did not allow me to speak, move freely or even look out a window for two years," she testified before the House Ways and Means Committee.

Despite being the daughter of Rick Hilton, the grandson of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad N. Hilton, and Kathy Hilton, who began as a child actress before branching into fashion design, the DJ stated that her parents were "completely deceived" about the treatment she was receiving.
