Penélope Cruz Put Her Toned Legs On Display In A White Mini Dress—These 'Vanity Fair' Photos Are Unreal!

Penélope Cruz, 47, always looks like a goddess, making her the perfect choice for Vanity Fair‘s 28th annual ‘Hollywood’ issue cover star. While posing in front of the iconic Sandro Botticelli painting, The Birth of Venus, Cruz donned a chic white crystal-trimmed mini dress that honored her stunning physique— wow!

In the cover feature story, the Parallel Mothers star discussed working with director Pedro Almódovar on their eighth collaborative film, her second Oscar nomination and how she embodied her character in her most recent film.

Cruz’s glamorous dress—designed by David Koma—features a one-shoulder cut design, feathers at its neckline, and a subtle high-slit at its bottom seam. She paired the item with Loewe matching white sandals with roses adorning the heels. She slipped her shoes off for the shoot, flashing her toned, slim and glowing legs and ruby-red pedicure.

For the cover image, the Vanilla Sky actress laid on top of a replica of the famous Renaissance painting with a paintbrush and spilling red paint (going along with the theme in the article of making a name for herself and being a trailblazing Spanish actress).

Cruz wore a shimmering wristlet cuff by Van Cleef & Arpels. Her makeup look— including her signature eye-opening dark liner, radiant blush and full pink lip enhanced her features as her dark, straight locks with highlights were worn down.

The mom of two also talked about her love of In-N-Out food, projects she worked on with husband Javier Bardem (who is also up for an Oscar this year for Being the Ricardos— what a power couple) and what compelled her to take risks and make bold choices when acting.

“It’s a big part of our work, to be able to transform into something that doesn’t speak like you, doesn’t move like you,” she said about the acclaimed  transformation into her Parallel Mothers character, Janis, a powerful single mother who has to give birth amid trauma. The fear, she noted, is part of the appeal: “I need that to function. I don’t want to feel too safe.”

We’ll be tuning in to The Academy Awards on March 27th to see if Cruz nails the Oscar for Best Actress in A Leading Role but until then, we’re loving her latest photo shoots, red carpet looks and timeless style!
