HoMedics, a health and wellness product manufacturer, has issued a recall on over 80,000 massage guns that were sold across the United States and Canada. This recall follows reports of the massagers overheating while charging, creating a fire hazard and a potential risk of burning consumers. HoMedics Recalls Personal Massagers For Fire Hazard

The specific HoMedics products impacted by this recall include HoMedics' Therapist Select Percussion Personal Massagers with model number HHP-715, which include a 120 VAC, 60 HZ power cord and four interchangeable massage heads. These were sold in stores and online at Macy's, BJ's Wholesale Club, Lowe's, JCPenney, The Home Depot, Amazon, and more between September 2020 and November 2023.

Recalled products were manufactured through the end of 2022; you can find the manufacturing date on a sticker on the underside of the product's barrel, as the recall announcement by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission states. Products with date codes ending in 20, 21, or 22 are included in the recall.

HoMedics issued this recall after receiving 17 reports of these massagers overheating. In one instance, a consumer burned their thumb on the product.

A total of 87,000 massage guns were recalled, with 46,000 of them sold in the U.S. and the rest sold in Canada.

If you happen to be in possession of one of these recalled products, you can get your money back; and you can even get a 20% bonus. HoMedics encourages consumers to stop using the massagers and contact them for a full refund, or store credit plus a 20% bonus towards any HoMedics product.
