Piers Morgan, 58, has called Omid Scobie a “liar” for some of the things he wrote about his alleged friendship with Queen Camilla in his bombshell new book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival, which came out on November 28th.

According to Scobie’s biography, Morgan and Queen Camilla have been close for more than two decades, and have been known to have “regular chats on the phone” over the years. Scobie even alleged that the Queen Consort reportedly thanked the British journalist for “defending the firm” when he called Meghan Markle “Pinocchio” on social media after she attacked the royal family in that infamous Oprah interview in March 2021.

A palace aide reportedly told Scobie that although the Queen Consort would never publicly address the feud or “speak ill of others,” she did apparently feel “gratitude” that “somebody was standing up to Meghan’s claims.” However, the former Good Morning Britain presenter has some problems with what Scobie wrote in his book, and has claimed that he has *never* spoken to the Queen Consort on the phone, calling the royal biographer’s claims “an absolute lie.” Could Morgan, who let’s just say is *not* Meghan’s biggest fan, want to discredit Scobie because he is believed to be a close friend of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex?

Piers Morgan Calls Omid Scobie's 'Endgame' Claims 'Absolute Lies'

What did Scobie write in his new book that the Talk TV presenter is hitting out at? While describing Morgan's alleged bond with the Queen Consort, Scobie wrote: "The pair have been close for more than 20 years, and enjoy regular chats on the phone and the occasional boozy lunch." The royal biographer also wrote that Queen Camilla and Morgan may have "similar views on Meghan," and she "quietly thanked him for defending the firm" following the Oprah interview.

Morgan spoke to historian Tessa Dunlop on his Piers Morgan Uncensored show after the first copies of Endgame were published in Australia, and said: "He's a liar, and I'll tell you how I know he's a liar because he writes a bit about me in the book." Morgan continued: "He states as a fact that I have regular phone conversations with Queen Camilla. For the record, I have never had a single phone conversation with Queen Camilla... That I personally know is an absolute lie."

And what about the claims that Queen Camilla "quietly thanked him" for criticizing Markle and defending the firm? Morgan said, "I had zero contact with Queen Camilla around that time at all," although he did explain that he "had conversations with several other members of the royal family" at the time, "but it wasn't Queen Camilla."

Morgan therefore believes that many other things Scobie has written in his book could also be untrue, adding: "So I know personally, just from the little bits about me, are completely untrue. They are lies. So why should I believe any of this stuff?"
