Your Jaw Will Drop After Hearing The Latest News About Piers Morgan’s Career–This Can’t Be Real!

Piers Morgan may have left Good Morning Britain, but his TV career is far from over, as it’s just been announced that he is joining News Corp and FOX News Media in a global deal that includes a TV show, newspaper columns, and even a follow-up to his best-selling book. Yes, really…
The 56-year-old British journalist famously stepped down as Good Morning Britain co-host earlier this year, after he was embroiled in a controversy over allegedly racist comments about Meghan Markle following hers and Prince Harry’s tell-all Oprah Winfrey interview. He infamously said that he didn’t believe a word The Duchess said, and questioned the validity of her claims about her mental health struggles since joining the royal family. Since storming off live on air and quitting the British morning television show, it was unclear whether he would return to TV again (we even wondered whether he would go down the same path as his friend Sharon Osbourne, who recently said she never wanted to return to daytime TV again following the Meghan/Oprah controversy) but now we realize that he was just sitting tight and waiting for the right opportunity to strike. And boy, this new job is certainly that!
Morgan actually began his media career at News Corp more than 30 years ago. When asked about why he offered the British presenter these new opportunities, News Corp chief executive Rupert Murdoch suggested that the controversy Morgan brings with him, and the fact that he isn’t afraid to ask the questions that others wouldn’t dare to, is exactly why he hired him, adding that he is a “brilliant presenter” and “talented journalist.”
