Piers Morgan Says Prince Harry Isn't Welcome Back As A Senior Royal: 'Nobody Wants You Back'

In the opening monologue, which lasted just over nine minutes, the 58-year-old broadcaster had an issue with Prince Harry's request to help his father out on a temporary basis, saying he and Meghan can't be "half in and half out," since stepping down as senior royals in 2020. "Nobody wants you back," he harshly said.

"The claim that he is ready and willing to serve his country and his king is frankly an insult," the Piers Morgan: Life Stories presenter continued, before going on to suggest that Prince Harry could just be willing to step in and undergo senior royal duties because his work in the U.S. is drying up. Morgan said: "We all know what this is really about: Netflix is reportedly planning to pull the plug on Harry and Meghan's $100 million deal… Spotify canceled Meghan's dreary podcast. Without the royal links, the brutal reality is that Harry and Meghan are of no interest to anyone."

Piers Morgan Recalls Negative Things Prince Harry Said About The Royal Family

Morgan went on to talk about some of the negative things Prince Harry said about his family in his bombshell memoir, Spare, which was released in January 2023, which could be related to why the royal family doesn't want him to fill in for King Charles.

"He smeared his own father, the King, as a liar," Morgan recalled, before going on to say that he also went "out of his way" to "shatter the reputation" of older brother Prince William and wife Kate Middleton with "implausible, ludicrous claim[s]" of racism towards Meghan and their son, Prince Archie.

"The late Queen was right: you can't be half in half out, and they're out," Morgan added, in reference to the late Queen Elizabeth II's apparent response to their initial request to step down as senior royals temporarily. "They sold their royal souls for a life as reality stars; trading every private cough and splutter for cash," he continued, adding: "The King should now return the favor and strip them of their tenuous titles and end this Sussex circus for good."
