“I can’t get away from food and I love to eat,” Drummond shared on her TikTok video.
She explained that she decided that she wanted to lose weight after experiencing some effects of the pandemic, and embarked on her weight loss journey beginning in January of this year. Drummond said that she didn’t follow any rigid diet plans or “gimmicks,” and instead she simply exercised more, cut calories and increased her protein intake.
Drummond’s exercise regimen focused around strength training and weight lifting to build muscle. And she has revealed that she loves the way these new habits make her feel.
“I look better but I feel better, and that’s what really counts,” she shared.
Ree Drummond’s entire career is centered around cooking, as she began her blog 15 years ago to document her love of food and making recipes. She even hosts a Food Network show, also called “The Pioneer Woman” to share her tips on a wider scale.
