Hot honey lovers rejoice! Pizza Hut is hopping on the hot honey train and testing new Hot Honey Pizza and Hot Honey Wings this summer—but only for a limited time in select locations.
That’s right: this sweet and spicy pizza topping is about to be available to lucky customers at special locations starting July 18, 2023. On top of the return of an iconic 90s item, Pizza Hut keeps pulling out all the stops this year.
Find all of the details on these new menu items below.
Pizza Hut Hot Honey Honey Pizza
If you haven't tried drizzling hot honey on your pizza before, it's time to change that. Essentially, this tasty sauce combines honey, apple cider vinegar (which has health benefits, BTW), and chili for a seriously delectable addition to a range of foods, from fried chicken to pizza. Now, customers in select locations in Dallas and Cleveland can try it out at Pizza Hut.
The pizza chain's Hot Honey Pizza, which they've been testing since July 18, consists of the Pizza Hut crust we all know in love, marinara sauce, cheese, two types of pepperoni (both classic and crispy cupped pepperoni), and, of course, a drizzle of Pizza Hut's new Hot Honey, which is infused with chili peppers.
According to a press release from the restaurant, "The secret behind Pizza Hut's Hot Honey Pizza lies in its perfect balance of sweet heat from the honey and the savory-salty flavors of the pepperonis." Our mouths are watering just thinking about it! It's available now, starting at $11.99.
Pizza Hut Hot Honey Wings
If wings are more your thing, there's good news for you, too. Pizza Hut is also unveiling Hot Honey Wings at limited locations. These wings, which, you can get boneless or bone-in, are coated with Pizza Hut's new Hot Honey and dipped in sweet-heat flavors. Lucky customers in Dallas and Cleveland can get an order of 6 for $5.99.
While these items are currently just in the testing phase, our fingers will stay crossed that they'll hit the menu nationwide soon! What about you? Are you hoping to try them? Let us know in the comments!
