Did Demi Moore Go Under The Knife Over The Years? A Plastic Surgeon Weighs In
Linkov started off his analysis by taking a look at a photo of the St. Elmo's Fire star from 1981 when she was 19. He explained how her facial structure, symmetry, strong jawline and large eyes were naturally beautiful to begin with.
He then continued on while studying her facial evolution, noting that he thought her first procedure might have been a "brow lift" in 1986 when she was 24.
"It appears to me that Demi may have had a brow lift around this time," Linkov said. "The brow is now positioned above the brow ridge, and this persists for many years."
Throughout the 90s, Linkov said he didn't find any obvious changes to the Indecent Proposal icon's face. He did however show examples of when her face looked "fuller" throughout the decade, but noted that this was likely because she was pregnant twice in the 90s.
Moore shares three daughters with her ex-husband Bruce Willis: Rumer (born August 16, 1988), Scout (born July 20, 1991), and Tallulah (born February 3, 1994).
In 2002 at the age of 40, Linkov said that "it appears to me that Demi may have started to do some Botox around this time." He then zoomed in on her forehead, glabella, and crow's feet areas to show why he thought injections might have been done there. Up until 2010, Linkov said he "saw no change" in her appearance and face.
"In 2010 at the age of 48, I wanted to point out that Demi has flawless-looking skin," he said. He noted that he thought this was because she did a great job at protecting her complexion from "sun damage and a lot of sun exposure, so using sunscreen regularly is very important, and basic skincare like using a facial moisturizer, a cleanser and an HA serum is very good for maintaining excellent skin."
When Moore turned 50 in 2012, Linkov said he saw signs of an "upper blepharoplasty," a procedure "that removes some excess upper eyelid skin, and what it tends to do in some patients is to cause some degree of hollowing of that area under the brow ridge."
Four years later in 2016, Linkov thinks "this is where Demi may have started to get some cheek filler. When you compare back to, say, age 21, you can see how the cheeks appear more full, especially in the medial section, closer to the center of the face, and this is where I find a lot of people over-inject." When it comes to Moore, however, Linkov believes this was not the case, leading to her supple and glowing look.
However, that changed when Moore was 57 in 2019. Linkov said: "you can see that now with Demi getting filler into the medial cheek, especially over the course of several years, there's now this over-inflated appearance. When we compare back to a similar angle from 1990, you can really tell that there has been a significant change to how her face looks now compared to when she was younger." He went on: "It's not just because of aging, it's because of the introduction of filler."
Linkov continued: "We now know through MRI studies that these fillers, HA fillers in particular, tend to hang around." They don't dissolve on their own, Linkov warned.
"They can migrate, they can move into other parts of the face as we get older. They can be dissolved, but oftentimes, they tend to build up over time and start to distort the face to a degree," he said.
In 2020, when the Striptease star was 58, Linkov noted he could see the "introduction of potential lip filler." At this time, he added, "to me, Demi's upper lip looks a bit fuller than it did in the past."
One year later, Linkov said he saw signs of a "potential brow lift revision" when Moore was 59 in 2021. "For many years, the brow lift that she may have gotten much earlier in life, around age 24, has held up for decades it seems," he noted. "With the slight descent of the brows, it looks like she may have had them re-lifted."
"I'm also seeing evidence of a potential facelift procedure," Linkov shared. "When I look at the sideburns, it looks to me like the hair is partially gone. You can see the level of where the hair is starting, it matches up a little closer to the lateral canthus of the eye, whereas in the past, it was definitely extending lower than that, and we know that with facelift surgery, some of that sideburn hair can be lost."
Linkov also said he saw "changes" to Demi's tragal region. "Oftentimes the tragus and the skin in front of it just appears different after a facelift surgery. It also appears that some of that cheek filler that she's been getting over those preceding years has really built up and so now, there's basically an elimination of the perioral boundaries, so the mouth region that's supposed to be separate from say the cheeks, is now kind of a fused zone, and so you don't see those clear boundaries," he added.
In 2022 when Moore turned 60, Linkov shared that this is when he thought Moore started to "reduce the cheek filler volume that she had."
This then gave her a more "natural appearance once again." In 2023 and 2024, Linkov noted: "I don't see any other major changes." The total cost of these "potential plastic surgery procedures is $285,000," Linkov estimated when concluding his analysis.
Moore's fans headed to the video's comments section to share their thoughts on her current look and evolution journey. "Whoever her latest surgeon is, they are a genius," one wrote as another added: "Seeing her through the years, she really did age beautifully and gracefully. I'm glad she's not overdoing it like most."
