Post Malone Goes Down A Rough Path

It’s easy to imagine that fame and fortune can get to one’s head quickly, and it seems like that was the case for Post Malone, who quickly after finding fame became known as a party animal of sorts. However, it’s also easy to imagine how things get out of hand. In an interview with The Pharmacist, he elaborated on how he knew he needed to make a change.

The Pharmacist asked Post Malone about his decision not to become sober, but rather, as the singer puts it, “responsible.”

"It got to a terrible point. It was to a really really rough point, and I couldn’t get up off the floor for weeks.” And while this might’ve been fine when he was 21 years old and single, the “Fortnight” singer is now a father to a 2-year-old baby girl, which is how he knew something had to change.

A Daughter Changes Everything For Post Malone

Post Malone hasn’t revealed his daughter’s name publicly, though he does have her initials, “DDP,” tattooed on his forehead, and wrote a song about his daughter’s future wedding day.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning’s Anthony Mason, Post Malone candidly said that being a dad “changes your life in the best way ever.”

"Four years ago, I was on a rough path, he continued. “It was terrible," he admitted, telling Mason that "loneliness" was troubling him at the time.

Now, however, the 29-year-old feels none of that loneliness anymore. “It's the most amazing thing,” he shared.
