Prince Andrew‘s daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are reportedly “really worried” about him, following the news that King Charles has cut him off financially.
According to Robert Hardman’s book Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story, King Charles recently cut Prince Andrew’s £1M-a-year allowance. This comes after the monarch stopped paying for his private security, which he has been funding since the late Queen Elizabeth II‘s death in 2022, to try and force him out of Royal Lodge.
Princess Beatrice And Princess Eugenie Are 'Really Worried' About Their Father
A source reportedly told US Weekly that the Duke of York's "anxiety is through the roof" right now, adding that his family is "really worried about him," in reference to the two daughters he shares with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
The insider went on to say that the disgraced royal is "barely leaving the house" at the moment, and "is generally very lost in where his life has gone."
Prince Andrew's well-being is currently "putting a lot of stress" on his daughters, and they are reportedly worried what being evicted from Royal Lodge will do to him. "Right now, it's a sanctuary for him to be away from the world and try and get himself [feeling better]," the source added.
Prince Andrew Funds His Own Security For Royal Lodge
However, despite allegedly feeling "very lost," Prince Andrew has reportedly raised enough funds to allow him to hire his own security for Royal Lodge, which has in turn left the King "humiliated."
According to Gloucestershire Live, Prince Andrew, who was fired as a working royal following the sexual assault allegations against him, still maintains connections with oligarchs, and is believed to have funded his security using Middle Eastern money.
An insider told The Sun: "He has his security, but at a cheaper rate, and he is managing to finance it himself. He has dug his heels in and is refusing to move so found a way to finance his security." They went on to say that they were unsure "how sustainable" it is in the long term, adding: "Who knows how long he can do it for."
