Prince Harry has made no secret of the fact that he misses many of his good friends in the U.K. since moving to the U.S. with Meghan Markle.
However, a British comedian, who was allegedly quite friendly with Prince Harry back in the day, has just pointed out that he may have ruined many of his friendships before he even left the U.K., as he claims that the Spare author “dropped” many of his friends shortly after he started dating Meghan. Comedian Reflects On His 'Pre-Meghan' Friendship With Prince Harry
Comedian Jack Whitehall, 36, made the comments about the 40-year-old Invictus Games founder on an episode of the Jase & Lauren podcast.
"I've come into contact with a couple of [the royals] in the past. I was quite good friends with Harry back in the day," Whitehall confessed, adding that it was "pre-Meghan, when he was a terror."

The comedian was then asked if Prince Harry "dropped his mates" when he started dating the American Riviera Orchard founder, to which he said: "Yeah."
Whitehall then reiterated that he and the royal weren't necessarily the very best of friends or indeed the closest, but they did enjoy some "fun" nights together.
"I mean, I wasn't, I wouldn't say, part of the inner circle," Whitehall confirmed, before adding: "I had a few nights out with him when he was quite fun." Interesting!

What Else Has Been Said About Prince Harry's Former Friendships?
This echoes what royal expert Hilary Fordwich previously said about Prince Harry no longer being in contact with many of his friends since meeting Meghan. She said at the time: "One of the very first falling outs was when he introduced Meghan to his Eton [College] friends back in 2016 during a Sandringham country estate shooting party. Ever since then, the friends have kept their distance, as has Harry."
Does this mean that Meghan is part (or all!) of the reason for Prince Harry's much smaller friendship circle? Royal author Tom Quinn did previously tell The Mirror that the friends Prince Harry still speaks to don't want to visit him at his home in Montecito, California because they don't want to see his wife, so it's a real possibility!
"He misses his old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don't get on with Meghan," Quinn said at the time, adding: "Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the U.K."
Former butler Grant Harrold also previously weighed in on the Duke of Sussex's friendships, referencing how he believes he has dropped many of the mutual friends he and Prince William shared since meeting the mom-of-two. "I know quite a few of Harry's friends who don't hear from him at all," Harrold said, according to the New York Post.
