Over one year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were destroyed on social media after it was revealed that they only worked one hour per week on their Archewell Foundation, it doesn’t seem like much has changed.

The couple reportedly still only dedicate one hour a week to their charitable foundation, which they founded after stepping down as senior royals in 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s work was one of the many topics discussed in the Harry – A Lost Prince documentary, directed by Ulrike Grünewald, which aired on Germany’s ZDF network on December 3rd. And what was said about their charitable organization was particularly interesting…

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Still Only Work On Their Archewell Foundation One Hour A Week, According To New Documentary

A number of different people were interviewed for the documentary, including  Prince Harry and Meghan's neighbors in Montecito, who revealed that they live a "lonely" life there. They reportedly also suggested that the former Suits actress was not very popular in the community – ouch!

Grünewald had a lot of interesting thoughts about the couple for the documentary, including slamming the way their Archewell Foundation was managed. "What surprised me most was how ineffectively Harry and Meghan's foundation is organized," Grünewald said.

"The amount of donations has fallen drastically in one year: from $13M in 2021 to $2M in 2022," Grünewald continued, adding: "According to their own documents, Harry and Meghan only work one hour a week for the Archewell Foundation."

Internet Reactions

There were many thoughts on this all over the internet. "That's laughable, an hour isn't enough time to do any real work," slammed one reader in the comment section of an article on The Express.

"Shock! Horror! Only working one hour per week!" exclaimed a second, as a third quipped: "And Harry spends the hour cleaning last week's milk out of the fridge before he can make the coffee and go home."

"And that is a busy week for them, they need a rest after that," joked a fourth, as fifth added: "One hour per week – must be multi-tasking, is she shouting at the same time as she decides which pair of high heels to wear?" "And the one hour a week is really a chore for them," wrote another unimpressed commenter. "Life is difficult, working one hour a week," added another.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's $100M Netflix Deal Could Be In Trouble

Contrary to what was said in the documentary, the couple *do* seemingly spend their time working on other things too, including Meghan's American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand, Prince Harry's Invictus Games, and their $100M deal with Netflix. But perhaps the couple are dedicating more time to their Netflix deal at this present moment as it could be in trouble, due to the apparent failure of Prince Harry's Polo documentary.

The five-part documentary hasn't gone down very well with audiences. Renae Smith, founder and director of The Atticism, told The Express: "Regarding their Netflix deal, I do think its renewal could be at risk. Their docuseries Harry & Meghan was a standout success, ranking in Netflix's top 10 and generating plenty of conversation. However, the new polo series is a niche topic that doesn't align well with what their wider audience expects or wants from them."

She added: "From a PR standpoint, a show about polo seems like a misstep, especially given the narrative they've built around connecting with the public on more relatable issues like mental health, family struggles, and social justice. Polo is a sport that, fair or not, carries connotations of elitism."
